The moment before the eclipse. The world held its breath. So did the beast.
In Foreboding, the sky darkens not just above, but within. This surreal piece tells the story of a creature standing at the edge of the cosmic unknown, eye reflecting the burning sky as the 2024 Texas eclipse begins its descent. Is it fear? Is it understanding? The answer is neither, and both.
Every line drawn in this work holds tension. Every color speaks of omens, cycles, and instinctual knowing. The animal's gaze isn’t passive—it witnesses. It remembers. It carries the weight of what humans forget in their wonder: that light always leaves a shadow.
A one-of-a-kind piece from the Eyes of the Cosmos series, Foreboding was featured in the Waco Art Center’s exhibit Eclipse: Shining Shadows — a powerful statement on nature, perception, and transformation.
This is not a decoration. It’s a moment frozen between fear and prophecy.
Let it speak in your space.
